Life is well beyond what we could accomplish with our own strength and
abilities, which is probably why God gave it to us. We know that it
will be accomplished because God always does what he says he is going to
do - we just have to believe it and follow His lead.
We have included a brief background of how we received the vision as well as the vision itself. Enjoy. |

| The vision of Abundant Life is our North Star to keep us about the task of serving our Lord. It is God's way of allowing us to have the freedom to make decisions today that affect tomorrow. |

We are excited to receive this revelation of a promise from God. During a church retreat we prayed, talked and prayed some more, all the time asking God what would be His will for us, as His people. At the conclusion of those two days, we were changed forever! God revealed plans, impossible for us to achieve, but still we felt a divine sense of responsibility to trust and obey Him. After God gives His revelation to His people the "How" questions are natural to ask but are impossible to answer apart from God. We didn't know how the Lord would begin to bring us to understand how He would fulfill His vision. Three months after this retreat, God began to clearly work out His plan. One of the items of the vision was a large tract of land. We knew the Lord was at work when 76.2 acres of land became available to purchase! We had no money! But it was happening in spite of what we could possibly understand. It was great and marvelous in our eyes. This vision is overwhelming but we believe the Lord is going to complete what He has begun. This revelation from the Lord compels us to take seriously His calling. If you become a part of this congregation you will be part of a great work. This work has begun with God and will be finished by God! We trust the Lord will speak to your heart and your mind if this is the congregation for you to join. We believe He will bring people and resources to work out this vision. We only ask you to consider carefully if the Lord would have you be a part of us because it will take sacrifice. | On June the 4-5th, 1999, we, as a congregation, came together to discover what God
wanted to accomplish through us. We sensed He revealed to us a great vision,
a vision to make a difference in the world around us.
Please consider carefully where you might assist in this vision. It is our dream to be the people of God who provide: love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement to the hinting, depressed, frustrated, confused and dejected. It is our dream to be a people who are set free, born in spirit, with integrity of character, on mission with God, and proudly sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. It is our dream to welcome at least 5,000 people to our membership, loving, learning, laughing, and living in harmony together in Christ. It is our dream to equip all believers for a significant ministry by helping them discover their gifts and talents. It is our dream to develop 500 Life Leaders to facilitate small groups and discover the truth of God's Word. It is our dream to send out 10 full-time career missionaries and hundreds more volunteer missionaries on short-term mission projects both at home and abroad. It is our dream to raise up 20 people, that we will fund, for full-time ministry. It is our dream to start at least one new daughter church every 3 years. It is our dream to have a global outreach, using multimedia. It is our dream to have 75 to 100 acres to build a church for Penticton & area, with beautiful yet simple facilities including a worship centre with seating for 2,000 people, a counselling, prayer and care giving centre, classrooms for Bible studies and training of Lay Ministers, a Bible College, a leadership school, classes for support ministries, a place to hold seminars and a recreation area. All this is designed for the total person: spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially and is set in beautifully landscaped grounds. This is what we dream. It will be by His will, His working and His righteousness flowing through our veins that all these things will be accomplished. |
